Novadem would like to use a drone to spot possible vine diseases.
Novadem is the initiator of a FUI project (Fonds unique interministériel) which aims to use the drone to go as close as possible to the vines in order to detect any diseases. The consortium also includes Airbus Defence and Space, which provides the low altitude navigation brick, Agro Sup Dijon, which provides the ability to define the specificities of diseases, and Global Sensing Technologies, an SME located in Dijon, which designs electronic systems equipped with neural processes that enable disease criteria to be recognised. This three-year, €1.8 million project, which began just over a year ago, will see its first experiments carried out at harvest time.
